Lime-based substrate improvement agent "Kalsan Marine"
A limestone-based substrate improvement agent that collapses after reaching the seabed. It is also used for preventing white spot disease in marine aquaculture.
When "Kalsan Marine" is dispersed, it causes a rapid increase in pH and reaction heat, leading to the death of cysts in the soil that cause white spot disease. It is optimal for preventing the occurrence of white spot disease and for emergency measures during outbreaks. This product is made from quicklime and slaked lime. After settling on the seabed, the magnesium hydroxide produced from the reaction between lime and seawater helps maintain the sediment in a weakly alkaline state and contributes to sediment improvement. ★Usage location: Sea surface aquaculture farms 【Features】 ◆ Strongly alkaline, with immediate effect * Due to the rapid increase in pH, it cannot be dispersed in enclosures where fish are present. 【Mechanism】 ■ The rapid increase in pH and reaction heat occur, altering and killing cysts and hatching larvae hidden in the sediment, contributing to the prevention of white spot disease and measures during outbreaks. ■ After settling on the seabed, part of Kalsan Marine becomes magnesium hydroxide, contributing to sediment improvement. * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
